don't you just love when dodgy photos come back to bite you in the ass. I recently got sent this by someone with a death wish. It was myself at a fancy dress do when I was 21. No idea what theme was : raging fool? I dunno.I also have no idea why I am licking a pot noodle. or Why I have a pantera top on with more holes on display then a FHM calender shoot. or for that matter a dog collar. answers on a postcard if you know.
What I do know is, it was painful as hell to look at. it reminds me how far I have come (at the very least fashion wise) and how far I have yet to go. I intended to keep on trucking as they say.
But, it seems retro is vogue at the mo.
Not only has this vintage shot come back into my life, but a vintage man has too. (not in that way) yeah, it seems retro is vogue alright......but seriously, has anyone else felt this sting when looking at old pics? that you feel winded and upset for no good reason? I feel awful having seen that. like I got shot. I don't know why. I think it could be the knowledge that unbeknown to the viewer of that shot I have a puffball skirt on. or is it something more sinister?
incase anyone is wondering what I have written on my chest, it says : the cure. yeah, that was it. I went as a cure head from the 80's. with a pot noodle.
because all cure heads had massive pot noodle addictions. as you do.
