HAMILTON, Ill. (KCRG-TV9) - Pop star Justin Bieber spent the night in Illinois because his bus broke down after leaving an Iowa concert.
ABC affiliate KHQA reports the singer stayed at the Hoffman Mansion in Hamilton, Illinois, across the Mississippi River from Keokuk. The police chief says Bieber's tour bus lost air conditioning and he and his entourage stopped for the night Thursday. He was traveling to Cincinnati for a concert after a concert in Des Moines.
The chief says Bieber's security team was concerned about crowds gathering on the busy highway outside the mansion. To keep that from happening, Bieber stayed inside and did not come out to greet fans.
The website Airbnb shows the mansion rents for $10,000 a night.
