MAKE-UP I'VE DONE : Dukes Avenue Music Video

I recently worked on a music video for the band, Dukes Avenue. I haven't seen the finished effect yet but here is a look at some of the make-up I did! My brief was heroin chic so I gave her a matte chalky foundation combined with a smokey brown eye and nude lips. I had an idea of Kate Moss circa 1995.

The character is a heroin addict so I had to tap eyeshadow over her veins to give her a prominent vein and bruising. I was so proud of the finished effect! I did have to make some fake blood which I used honey, food coloring, water and coffee to make. I switched syrup for honey and it finished perfectly. The consistancy was much lighter and actually perfect - however it smelt really really bad. The only problem with the blood was that it had to be edible as the characters had it in their mouths - which actually worked!
