Wild pig gang sniffs, eats and destroys Italian dealer cocaine stock

A flock of wild pigs destroyed someone's cocaine stock.

According to the Italian edition of The Local, a gang of wild pigs sniffed cocaine that was buried in a forest in eastern Tuscany, Italy. The pigs then dug up the drugs and destroyed the whole package. Authorities discovered the incident while investigating a group of suspected drug traffickers near the town of Montepulciano. Police were listening to wiretapping when they heard traffickers complaining about the money they lost with the pigs spreading coke through the woods. Police think more than $ 22,000 in cocaine was destroyed by the pigs, but the exact amount is unclear why the pigs could have taken some of the drugs.
Newsweek reports that the investigation into traffickers began last year. After a 21-year-old Albanian woman was murdered, police realized there was a drug trafficking network that spanned several central provisions in Italy. The network reportedly moves about four pounds of cocaine per month, around $ 90 to $ 120 per gram.
Drug traffickers are not the only people who are having problems with wild pigs in Italy, as wild pig gangs are becoming pests in Italy. They are destroying farmland, causing thousands of car accidents a year and even attacking people. The problem became so serious that farmers across the country went to the capital hoping to persuade lawmakers to act.
